Slush App
The redesign of this App started by defining the navigation since it was about to be changed and new features were described to be added for the user. The work started with the most important feature and our team settled on this goal first — design the Matchmaking.
I was working alone in designing the UI and UX for this App for several months under the supervision of our CPO at Slush and communicating regularly with the developer company Luckyfew who built the App from the technical side along with our developers at Slush.

So, to Matchmaking!
My favorite part because it was the most challenging one. I started by knowing nothing about it and ended up building all possible end journeys for the users using Matchmaking. I knew how important was it since Matchmaking is all about how you experience Slush and last year everyone who used Matchmaking requested to fix it, so it was quite a responsibility.
My main task as a designer wasn’t just to make nice and pretty buttons and cards, but to actually define pain points and plan how to solve the issues of Matchmaking not being intuitive and simple to use.
I started by creating low-fidelity wireframes to draft the browsing flow. At first, I imagined this from the first-time user's POV and I got the idea that there has to be a nice and easy-going onboarding for the first time since it consists of 3-4 steps and could be confusing for new users. I designed this idea, but it didn’t come to life since our resources weren’t allowing it. However, the decision has been made to make it happen next year with some redesigning of this idea, so I’m really excited for the Slush 2023 already!

Triggering the Chat
The chat is triggered once both sides agree on the meeting day and time. Once everything is settled, users are able to chat with each other, share images, and attachments, and pin the most important chat to the top! Once again, sadly there was not enough time to implement the chat properly, but good thing that the design is ready for the next year to be built 🤓

Program & Side events
This year the possibility to browse stage programs, and side events, and manage reservations was integrated into the app as well. This was the first time for me to build such a complex schedule design with horizontal scrolling!

My profile and Lead Scanning
In your profile, users are able to quickly see how many meetings they have in total, fast forward to the platform, and browse scanned leads and notification settings! Some of the settings and notifications were not implemented this year, but it is the goal for the next, and the design idea is already done, so it will save a lot of time for us in the future.

My Slush
And finally, here is one of my top favorite features added this year to the app. My Slush, where you can build your own schedule! No need anymore to trying fit the Slush program into your Google Calendar, because it can all be now visible on My Slush and you can create your unique program, and add your favorite stage speeches, matchmaking meetings, and side events that you are planning to attend.
That's the end of it! Thanks for reading to this moment 🌺 If you are curious more and would like to try the current version of the app, here is the download link.
I would be happy to hear your thoughts and connect on LinkedIn!
As a small reward, here is a picture of my cat Maya who inspired me a lot during my design process.
Have a great day!
